Our Natural Materials

We use high quality, natural materials for all our craft workshops, so your creation will endure the passage of time. We buy from Native suppliers, recycled sources and long term respected wholesalers. (sourced for over 20 years from the USA, Canada and Australia)

In the Old Ways, there was sacred respect and reverence for every being on earth. Prayers and deep honouring were offered throughout all the processes. In our modern world, some suppliers do source and hand work their own materials. Yet, most natural craft materials are not necessarily taken in what I would call an "honourable way".

Because the Spirit of the animal or tree is still living, we can redeem them with rightful actions. Through ceremony, love and creating things of beauty with from their offerings - their Spirits rejoice.

If you are unable to work with rawhide or are a vegan/vegetarian, we would suggest buying a Buffalo Drum from Remo. It uses a synthetic surface called fibreskin -a polymer combo. It is also from mother earth and still gives a great sound.

If you have any further questions, please contact us.
