Gratitude...
We meet many people in our lives As a child, I was taught to honour those that have come before us. And I have been very so blessed to have crossed paths with many known and unknown people....who in that moment of 'meeting', transformed.
Two teachers who I owe deep gratitude to are Denise Linn and Ed Mcgaa. Denise Linn, Ed McGaa, Peyton Nelson, Betty Nelson, Mike Nelson, Leeann Ernandes, Patti Hansen, Marilyn wilson and karen blew, lee lee, kath, chris hooper. Kizzy, kai nick kari, My family and friends around the world, in the USA, Canada, Netherlands. Kiz, Kai There are so very, very many people who have .......(and I hope I have expressed how important you have been to me and I hope you know who you are) Creswell Airport mob... Home growing up Jerry brown and OSU Alpha Gam Emerson college Ursula, Marshelaid Airport Native Journeys My clients long chats, moments in time, those that I never know were somehow as an act of grace... Nature and the world of Spirit have been close companions since I was young. I have always had a deep connection and respect for First Nations people - their hearts, their practicality, humour and wisdom and their relationship to spirit and Creators mind.
I am not Native American and do not profess to be a medicine person or healer in any traditional sense. However, the wisdom of the Ancient Ones, the Natural World and in the Sky, move and grace my Soul and guide my heart, thoughts and action. I am deeply and eternally grateful. We are threads woven within the Web of Life - never alone and related to all that is. Our ancestors, helpers and Spirit constantly walk with us in every realm. And I deeply appreciate and honour those two legged friends, family, children, Elders and "unknown people" who through their words, playfulness, actions of love, and wisdom, have guided both my inner and outer life in ways I could never have imagined. Though some of you are still here, others have moved home to the stars. I deeply acknowledge and honour your gifts everyday and always. And Thank you to ALL the 'voiceless ones' of the earth, stars and in-between worlds who freely and lovingly offered sensitive, wise and playful teachings and even to those who have sometimes offered 'swift kicks' or have been illusory adversaries. All intensified my inner quest for a greater understanding of Spirit. My prayer is that I continue to listen with all my heart and learn their language to give them voice." |
The power of the land nourishes and rejuvenates
"sometimes It feels like energy or electricity when it is moving and through us, but spiritual power is really a distinctive kind of knowledge that is like the key that opens the door or switch that starts the energy moving: Frank Fools Crow Frank Fools Crow was a deeply respected and honoured Lakota spiritual leader, a Yuwipi medicine man, teacher and the nephew of Black Elk. He spent much of his life serving his people. It was his wish to share his gifts with as many as he could reach. "Survival of the world depends on our sharing what we have, and working together. If we do not the whole world will die. First the planet, and next the people." "We are called to become hollow bones for our people, and anyone else we can help. We are not supposed to seek power for our personal use and honor. What we bones really become is the pipeline that connects Wakan Tanka, the helpers and the community together. This tells us the direction our curing and healing work must follow, and establishes the kind of life we must live."
