MEDICINE DRUM MAKING WORKSHOP

Picture
"The Drum is Sacred. Its round form represents the whole universe, and it's steady beat is the pulse, the heart, throbbing at the center of the universe. It is the voice of Wakan Tanka (the Creator), and this sound stirs us and helps us to understand the mystery and power of all things."   Nick Black Elk, Lakota

Drum making is a journey of reflection and sacred dialogue. Through the process you are offered the opportunity to re-weave your life      creating new opportunities in the Web of Life.

Sacred conversations between Spirit, ourselves and the materials, who have offered themselves, will weave through the workshop. There will be time for personal interactions, natural learning, meditations and stories.

Experience the power of drumming. Understand the healing nature of the Medicine Wheel. Use drumming as a personal and community tool for transformation.  You will create a 13" or 15" hand drum and drum stick of beauty - aligning you to the heartbeat of Mother Earth, the star nation and all Creation.

Sacred Tools Workshops

Sacred tools allow us to access   Our Sacred Tools Workshops are full of creativity, deep conversations, ceremony and laughter. Workshops vary from half day to a weekend.  Create ceremonial tools for your personal or community use and healing.

VIA BRITANICCA Ceremonial and ritualistic objects have been utilized as a means for establishing or maintaining communication between the sacred (the transcendent, or supernatural, realm) and the profane (the realm of time, space, and cause and effect). On occasion, such objects have been used to compel the sacred (or divine) realm to act or react in a way that is favourable to the participants of the ceremonies or to the persons or activities with which such rituals are concerned, or to prevent the transcendent realm from harming or endangering them. These objects thus can be mediatory devices to contact the divine world, as, for example, the drums of shamans (religious personages with healing and psychic-transformation powers). Conversely, they can be mediatory devices used by a god or other supernatural being to relate to humans in the profane realm. They may also be used to ensure that a chief or sovereign of a tribe or nation achieves, and is recognized to have, the status of divinity in cultic or community ceremonies.
